“I have read your book and much like it.”
- Moses Hadas (1900-1966)
Although muchlikeit.org is named after a quote by Moses Hadas, this site is not affiliated with him nor his estate. I simply liked the quote and thought it would be appropriate for my ‘book blog.’
You see, Hadas’ quote is the sort of sentence I’d like to have for every book I’ve ever read. “I have read <book’s title> and ___________.” That big blank after “and” is that part that interests me. What goes after “and“?
and … and I unfortunately can’t fill in that blank for many of the books I’ve read. Some books have stuck with me … but others just faded away. I hope that writing down some thoughts about each book while it’s fresh in my mind will help me clarify and remember important points. Secondly, I’m blogging my thoughts rather than keeping a private journal so that I can find and learn from others about the same material.
Coincidentally, I think that Moses Hadas, were he alive today, would probably be doing much the same as I’m doing now with this site. His wikipedia page says Hadas’ “popularizing impulse led him to embrace television as a tool for education, becoming a telelecturer and a pundit on broadcast television.” No doubt he would’ve been a blogger in today’s world.
Well, that’s about it. If you’d like to know more about me, check out my professional blog at zacharywyatt.org, my personal blog at crazythatway.org, or my music blog at suedoapmuza.org. Oh, and please email me at z@wyatts.org if you’d like to say hi.
